Updated June 30th, 2026
Table of Contents
Selecting Gradebook tab on the left of the GO! dashboard will display the Gradebook for the class on the teacher's roster.

Vertical View is applicable only for Question Based Assessments like - DSB's, ExperTrack, Vocabulary Quizzes, Primary Source Analysis etc. This feature will not be applicable for PDF type assignments like Graphic Organizers, Let's review.
Vertical View via By Student Option

Select the assessment that is required to be viewed vertically, then click on By Student option from Assignment Management options.

Once the teacher clicks on By Student option, this will automatically open to the first ungraded question for the first student in alphabetical order.
Any annotations added by the student will be displayed when the teacher views the assignment, regardless of whether the Vertical View toggle is turned on or off.

To view the assignment in Vertical View, teacher is required to turn on the toggle available on the top.

When the toggle is OFF (by default), teacher will see just one question. Once the Vertical View toggle is ON, teacher will be displayed student's questions listed from top to bottom. Grade Assignment Score box is also displayed at the bottom of each question.

This makes it easier to grade multiple questions without switching screens.
Vertical View via By Question Option

Select the assessment that is required to be viewed vertically, then click on By Question option from Assignment Management options.

When the teacher clicks on the By Question option, they will notice a list of all questions along with indicators showing which ones have ungraded student answers, the question type, and the overall class average for each question.

Once the teacher clicks on any question, it will display student assessment. On top of the screen teacher can locate the Vertical View toggle which by default is OFF. To view the assessment in vertical view, the teacher needs to turn the toggle ON.
When viewing an assignment from the Grade by Questions tab, any annotations added by the student are visible to the teacher.
