How can I reset a Graded Assignment?

Updated July 1st, 2026

Note: To reset an assignment, the student must have already submitted the assignment. Teachers resetting the assignment will return the assignment status to the Start in the Student Portal.

Reset Graded Assignment

Select the Gradebook tab from the GO! dashboard.

Then select the specific class from the classes dropdown menu.

Once the Class is selected, select the assignment which requires to be Reset for all or individual students.

Clicking the assignment title will display the Assignment Management Options. Teacher can select Reset option.

A Reset Assignment modal will be displayed.

The teacher will have to select all students the teacher will have to select the Header Checkbox located in the left hand side of the student name to select all student names and reset the assignment.

To proceed with the selection, click the Yes button. The assignment will be reset for all the selected students.

After clicking on the Yes button the scores will be reset for the selected student.

Review Option after Resetting Graded Assignment

In Practice Mode, when students attempt the assignment, they can view the Show Answers option under Other Tools before submitting the assignment. This allows students to review the correct answers while working on the assessment.

Students can toggle the Show Answers option on or off to display the correct answer, with no limit on usage; however, the option is not persistent and will automatically reset to OFF when the student moves to another question, requiring them to enable it again if needed.

In Practice Mode, students can either click Save & Exit to save their progress and leave the assessment, or click Submit as Completed to submit their responses and complete the practice activity.

If the student clicks on the Reset option, a confirmation modal is displayed prompting the student to proceed. The student can click Yes to reset the assessment or No to cancel and close the modal.

After clicking the Yes button, the student will receive a confirmation message stating: “Your assignment was reset. You can start again from question 1.”

Students also have the option to reset a Practice Mode assessment directly from their dashboard by navigating to Assignments > My Assignments, where the Reset option is available for the assessment.
