Usage Report Filters and Drill Down
On the left side of the Usage Report, Filters and Metric Selectors will be displayed. The Usage Report can be filtered by Start and End date. By default, the School Academic year will be set as Start and End date.
The teacher will have to select the class and student from the Select Class and Select Student dropdown to view the detailed report as per the Individual Users, Total Logins, Course Views and Assignments selection.

To generate the Usage Report, the teacher selects the desired filters and clicks the Run Report button. The report will then appear on the right side of the usage report page. Without the filters being selected, the Run Report button will be disabled.

The Usage Report page appears after the filter selection. Clicking the up arrow collapses the filter bar on the left side of the page

The image below shows the Usage Report page with the Filters bar collapsed.

- All Individual Users: Distinct count across teachers + students (a user is counted once even if they logged in multiple times).
- Teachers (Self): Count of unique teacher accounts including both self and co-teacher accounts that logged in at least once within the applied filters
- Students: Number of distinct student accounts that logged in at least once within the filters.
- Classes column
- “All Classes” row shows totals of all the Individual Login details of all the classes for the current filter selection.
- Additional rows list users within the selected class.

Counts are the hyperlinks.

When the teacher clicks the hyperlink of any student or teacher logins, a modal pop‑up will appear showing the login date and time along with the course name.

Metric selector 2: Total Logins

- Teachers/Students: Total login events for the role; repeated logins by the same account are all counted.
- All Logins: Sum of all login events across roles.

Metric selector 3: Course Views
The total number of courses accessed by a teacher is counted as course views. A course view is recorded when a teacher or staff member clicks on a course. Navigating within the same course, such as clicking inside the Content Player, does not generate additional views. A new view is only counted if the user switches to a different course.
Example:
First course clicked → 1 view
Teacher changes to another course → +1 view (Total = 2 views)
Click the blue class name to view detailed results. The teacher will be drilled down to display All Users of the class. The main table view switches from Class-level Course View to Teacher Course View.

When the teacher clicks on the hyperlink below the count, a modal pop‑up will appear showing the login date and time along with the course name.

Metric Selector 4: Assignments:
- Assignments Started : Shows the total number of assignments that students have initiated.
- Assignments Created : Indicates the number of assignments that have been set up or created by teachers.
- Assignments Submitted : Displays the count of assignments that students have completed and submitted.
- Assignments Graded: Reflects the number of assignments that have been evaluated and graded by teachers.
- Average Assignment Time : Reports the total time spent (in minutes and seconds) by both teachers and students on each assignment.

Click the blue class name to view detailed results. The teacher will be drilled down to display All Users of the class. The main table view switches from Class-level Assignment View to All Users Assignment View.

When the teacher clicks on the hyperlink below the count, a modal pop‑up will appear showing the login date and time along with the Assignment name.

Customizing the Metric in the Report Builder
Teachers can customize the metrics they wish to include when building a report. They may also combine multiple metrics using the available filters and generate a consolidated report for viewing.
