Schoology Users: How to add Gallopade Content to Materials in Schoology

Updated June 30th, 2026

Important to Know

Your school district must select to roster for Gallopade Online with Schoology in order to integrate assignments from Gallopade Online.

Once the Schoology Administrator has created the external tool for Gallopade Online and the teacher has completed the Course Pairing from Schoology to the GO Platform, teachers are ready to add materials from the Gallopade Online course to Schoology by selecting the Gallopade External Tool under Add Materials.

Important to Know

The Gallopade External Tool name may vary by district as administrators can customize this name.

After selecting the Gallopade External Tool, the Add Materials/Content modal will open, showcasing all the content that needs to be incorporated into the Course.

In this pop-up Add Materials modal, teachers will see the course assigned to the class below the My Courses tile. To add materials to Schoology from the Gallopade Course, use the arrows to expand the course.

Not all resources can be assigned to students. To display only assignable content, the teacher needs to select the "Show only Assignable Content" checkbox located on the right side of the Add Content modal box.

The teacher can navigate to the content hierarchy by clicking the > arrow displayed to the right of the desired unit name. This action expands the navigation tree for the selected unit, revealing all associated lessons for selection.

Select the checkboxes on the left side of the resource title, to pair the resource(s) to the platform.  Teachers can select up to one complete unit / chapter at a time using the header checkbox in front of the chapter name

As the checkboxes of items are selected, the Add Content button at the bottom of the screen displays the count of the resources that has been selected.

Teachers can also preview the resource by clicking the Preview link. A preview modal will be displayed with a Back button.

Clicking the Back button will navigate to the content hierarchy.

Teachers can also enable the Review Options, allowing students to revisit and review their assessments. The "Review Submission" option is selected by default. To modify the review settings, the teacher must select the "Student Review Options for Grading" dropdown at the bottom right of the Add Content modal and adjust the review options as needed.

Clicking the Add Content button will display the added list of content in the Materials section. You'll be redirected to the Materials section of Schoology, where you should see a list of items linked.

Next, use the cog wheel to the right of the resource name to edit settings as needed.

Important to Know

The Tool Provider must have the Gallopade Online External Tool listed for the assigned materials to be accessible for students.  This should happen automatically, but can be edited by selecting the cog wheel for the material's settings.

By selecting the title of the material, teachers can preview the item linked and can be used in classroom instruction.
